Stupid small 5-10 minute declutter busting actions, you can take now, to get in the habit of living an organized life.
Follow my 3 step declutter method below.
step one: prep
supplies: trash bag, donation bag, empty basket or bin.
ambience: Do you need quiet, a podcast, or motivating music (hello, 90’s hip-hop)?
review: “mini-sort” of the week (down below).
step two: categorize
trash/Recycle: toss anything not usable.
keep: things that will stay in the space or container
donation: things you no longer need, use or love… but someone else might.
relocate: things that belong to another area of the home, add to the empty basket/bin for distribution.
step three: finalize
distribute: take that basket/bin of things, walk around the house and put them back in their place. Do it now, or you’ve just created another project for yourself! Big no-no!
clean-up: put everything away, toss trash, add donations to your car, etc
